I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Spring Painting

Old houses always need a lot of maintenance. Mine was built in 1875 so there is always something. Three years ago it was a new roof on the front and new brick steps, two years ago fireplace chimney repair, and last year it was major repair of the garage footings and a new roof on the garage and fireplace room. This year I am taking a break from major repairs and just concentrating on a bit of this and that. The front windows desperately needed a lick of paint here and there and I hired my granddaughter who loves to paint for the job. She's tring to make a bit of money for college.
