I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Marcia DeCamp's Trunk Show at Schweinfurth

A large group braved the snow today to see the annual quilt show and attend Marcia DeCamp's Trunk Show. I am not going to make too many comments other than it was a great show and you will probably be able to see more information on her blog...www.decampstudio.blogspot.com. I was too busy taking photos to take notes. Here Marcia on the right is being introduced. Two of her grandmother's quilts.

One of the first classes she took.

The beginning of her Jet Trails series. Two of her Jet Trails quilts are in the Schweinfurth Show.

The last quilt. From a class with Cynthia Corbin.
Members of the audience examining her quilts after the talk. Her quilts are gaining a lot of attention and are being shown in a number of national and regional shows.

I love the quilts, I have never seen any quite like these. My mother is an old school quilter, I will show these wonderful pictures to her.
