Priscilla Kibbee

I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Mexican Folk Art

Ok...I admit. I'm on an art kick. It must have been that art class I took the last two weeks. These are folk paintings which I was lucky enough to find in Mexico a few years ago. I found the first one in a market in Cuernavaca around 15 years ago and just had to have it. I searched everywhere for more and finally found two being sold by a street vendor in Oaxaca, Mexico...one of my favorite places.

This is my favorite. A wedding scene. They are all signed by the artist.
