I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Sewing Day at Marcia's Studio

Linda worked on some pieces from her stash.

And I started a new jacket based on a piece I purchased on my last trip to Laos.

Some foiled pieces left by Marcia Murphy during her last visit.

My jacket progresses.

Inspector Suki inspects some of my pieces for softness and compatability.

And Linda makes progress on her piece.

While looking for pieces for the blue jacket I found this beautiful parrot cross stitched on wool which would also make a beautiful jacket back.
