Priscilla Kibbee

I love to travel all over the globe shopping for textiles to add to my wearable art. I have taught quilting to school children in Nepal, seminole patchwork to seamstresses in Thailand, and jackets and embellishment to quilters in Turkey where I also served as a judge at 2 of their International Quilt Shows. I have created garments for 5 Fairfield and Bernina Fashion Shows and teach classes on embellishment and wearable art. Lately I have been leaning more toward making art quilts.

Trip to Ecuador

I took a trip recently with my sister Elizabeth to Ecuador.  Our first stop was Otavalo, the famous market town high up in the Andes.  Three women knitting at their stall on market day.
One plaza is always full of vendors but on Saturday the Market Day the side streets also fill with vendors.
This is what that street looks like on a normal day...with a local Otavolan couple.
At a junction of the main plaza.
Lots of food stalls for both locals and tourists.

 A one man band.
One street just had vendors with feathered pieces.
